Second Grade
Children Learn, Grow, Fly at Warwick River Christian.
Warwick River Christian offers an enriching curriculum that educates the whole child, finding ways to engage the left and right sides of the brain. We believe in offering a developmentally age-appropriate, hands-on curriculum that encourages students to be critical thinkers and problem solvers.
We believe all children are created in the Image of God and all children are individually created by God, so not all children develop at the same time. By recognizing this, we can educate the child in the way they best learn. Our curriculum is carefully planned to ensure the Word of God is intertwined throughout each lesson, with each teacher thoughtfully and carefully planning their lessons to ensure this. We embrace our small-classroom settings, which allows for more focused learning time.
While we recognize the importance of advanced technology and its place in an educational setting, the basics of reading, writing and math are significantly important, especially in the early childhood years of education. We embrace this time of development and will focus on the “three R’s- Reading, wRiting and aRithmatic” of education to encourage a solid, educational foundation in all our students from kindergarten through second grade.
